Our vision
Empowering young talented Arabs by integrating them into the Israeli Hi-Tech industry
رؤيتنا
Fursa is a non-profit organization that operates under the aegis of The Portland Trust, which aims to promote the economic development of the social periphery in Israel by initiating programs that integrate under-represented youngsters into quality employment in the hi-tech industry.

Our story
قصة فرصة
The Portland Trust established Fursa in 2020 to address the underemployment of outstanding Arab engineers and STEM graduates. The program targets high-achieving Arab BSc computer science graduates who face unique challenges in securing entry-level positions in the industry, such as geographical barriers, a lack of relevant networks and role models, and less practical experience. Despite these obstacles, Fursa candidates are driven to prove themselves.
Fursa provided a supportive pathway for high-achieving Arab BSc Computer Science graduates to obtain skilled tech employment. Selected participants underwent training in high-demand technologies and soft skills.
Fursa's dedication to their success paid off, as over 92% of the participants were placed in leading tech companies as junior developers, a position that was previously inaccessible to them. In just two years, Fursa had become a true gateway to opportunity for young Arab talent, transforming lives and breaking down barriers in the process.
